| I haven't updated in a little over four months. That's crazy. Not a lot has gone on, mind you, but still. I should update more than this. So let's see...
What's new? Well, I'd like to say I've started reading again...but that's not entirely honest...yet. I've only read one book. Hah. But I have started another and hope to keep going from here on out. I've missed reading. I've forgotten how much I really do love books.
I'm still addicted to LOST. That show just keeps getting better and better. I wish the writer's strike hadn't cut this season short, though. Not this Thursday, but next (May 29th) is the two-hour season finale. Then I have to wait to fall. Poo.
I watched December Boys last week with Travis (which, by the way, we're doing well). It. Is. AMAZING. Seriously. If you can find it somewhere, get it NOW and watch it. You won't regret it.
I need to get the CD player in my car fixed. It's had the LP CD stuck in it for quite a while now. It registers that it's there, but it won't play it or spit it out. I'm quite sick of the radio.
I had a nightmare last night. That's the first one I've had in ages...and hopefully it will be for quite some time. It seriously messed me up. I had my mom come in and get in bed with me for a while...that's how serious I am. Ugh. *shudders*
So I guess that's enough for now. I'll try to update sometime soon...sometime before four months from now. I have to work tomorrow so that means I should be getting ready for bed. Five a.m. comes far too early.
G'night, kids.

| Today was my birthday and it was wonderful. I got to hang out with my best friend all day long. I got to go out to eat, twice! I did a little shopping. A lot of talking. A lot of laughing. Quite a bit of sharing. Some curtain hanging. All in all, it turned out pretty amazing. But I think the thing I loved most of all was the weather. It was the perfect day for a birthday. | | |
| It was dark and rainy this morning, and I was messing with my windshield wipers. I turned onto Mary Street by Emerick's and didn't see a school bus coming, so I was in the middle instead of on my side of the street when I saw the headlights coming at me and freaked....swerved and hit the curb (which I took a chunk out of!), nearly missed a sign, and bent my rim all to hell. My steering wheel was all shaky (because of the bent rim) so I pulled over and called home and work (to let them know I'd be late).
Dad came to the Subway parking lot to check it out and get me. Thank God there was a payphone there, I don't know what I would have done if there hadn't been (but seriously, there are what? Like, 10 payphones left in the free world and one just happens to be where I need it? What are the chances of that?). But he drove my car home and I drove the truck. When we got back to the house, Mom said she'd take me to work. I got there at 7:20. And that was before my first case even began. Not bad, all things considered.
It was really a stupid wreck, but it could have been MUCH worse. So after I pay to get the rim fixed, everything should be okay. I just hope nothing underneath is bent or twisted.
Seriously though, I'm just thankful I'm okay and no one else was hurt either.
Merry Christmas to me, I'm getting a new rim. =)

| ...In Ages
Christmas is coming up. All I want is to be happy.
(And a Wii. But I'm not getting one of those because you can't find them freakin' anywhere.)
Merry Christmas, everyone! ^_^

| I have a couple of things to tell you which I think you are in need of being caught up on.
1. I got my job at Camden! I started on August 6th, and so far so good. I really like it down there. The people are (for the majority) very friendly and happy to help you learn. I think it's a very good work environment. I'm sure with time I'll learn to hate it (as we all do when it comes to work, ha), but for now it's great. And...last Friday I got my first REAL paycheck. Trust me, it was amazing.
2. I finally got a car!!! That's right! I finally found one, and in my own backyard, mind you. I bought it last Monday, August 20th, and got my insurance and license plate and was driving it by Tuesday. A couple down the street from us was selling it and my dad found out, told me, and I agreed to go look at it. I tried it out late Saturday night, again Sunday afternoon, and told them I'd buy it Sunday evening. Haha, quick deal, no? So for a mere $3,500 I'm now the proud owner of a silver, 2002 Hyundai Elantra! Yay! (Anyone interested in seeing her and/or going for a ride - do let me know.)
3. My "education" continues. In spite of myself, I'm taking two online classes (okay, so one is ADS, but that's practically the same thing). I'm taking the ADS course for Beginning Keyboarding. And the completely online Word for Windows. Both of which are now using Microsoft Word 2007 - and oh, how I hate it. I think that's part of the overall opposition I have to doing the work; I dislike the program I have to do it in. But I've actually set myself out a timeline for the Word class, so if I can stick to it I may be alright. Let's just hope nothing gets changed.
Well that's about it really. Just a little update on my life to let you all know I'm still alive and such. Really, I just wanted to further express my joy of getting my job and a car. Hehe. Yeah.
